| | | Pardon me please if I'm wrong, but isn't 120 just fine after eating? I'd sure as heck be happy with that. |

The lower the better obviously. I'm always happy with a 120 PP reading, Heck, I'm happy with a 120 morning fasting (**** DP!!! )
edit** you can't say D_A_N_G???? WTF? |

| | | Honestly, when it comes to pizza I love it so much and just refuse to give it up or limit myself to less than what I really want. So I compensate by using a strong square wave on the pump and lots of exercise afterwards. I am usually quite successful and since my total cholesterol hovers around the 90 mark, I'm not too worried about the cheese, pepperoni, and such.

| | I have to share a pic of the first pizzas I ever made all by my lonesome. I did the crust in my new bread maker and put on all the stuff I wanted: sausage, pepperoni, cayenne, tomatoes, green peppers, red peppers, marble cheese, and mozza cheese. I cooked the sausage in the cayenne with garlic and evoo. I froze most of it for quick dinners or lunches. It is heavenly |

| | | My favorite reciepe for pizza is goat cheese, articokes, mushrooms, olives, canadian bacon. It is hard to find, but every now and then we find a place that can make it. Excellent. I am not a pizza fan in general. NO tomato sauce. |

| | | I had three slices of thin crispy supreme pizza at Pizza Hut at noon today. I eat pizza only at Pizza Hut because it is listed in the "Calorie King" booklet. I said that one-eighth of the medium sized pizza had 23 carbs. I allowed 25 since I had so many toppings. I had three slices so that was 75 carbs. I had a salad that I estimated at 10 carbs. That was a total of 85 carbs. My insulin/carb ratio for lunch is 1:5 so I needed 17 units of Humalog for my meal bolus. My blood sugar was 82 before lunch and 103 two hours later. I walked for one hour during the third hour after my meal. I know how much my walking lowers my blood sugar. I ate a snackof 10 carbs before walking and put my temporary bolus on my pump at 50%. At four hours after lunch my blood sugar was 112. It is still very good this evening. I used to have much trouble with highs after eating pizza. After much trial and error I have a routine that works.
