Let's go out for lunch...

Seriously, I might have to start staying home......

this was written last night.

What a *****in day for the bead....
had a late lunch, but our usual place was out of acceptable food..went to a greek place and I ordered a greek salad and 2 phyllo wrapped things one spinach and cheese the other pork + they had all the ingredients on the thingy and both looked ok, thought I would eat half of each and give the rest to the dogs, also we were off to do Mt Doug, so I just had 2 units... first bite had me spitting out.. POTATO! they were very apologetic and brought me a shrimp and spinach one intead... ate about one lot of pastry and all the filling and my salad and hit the trail..half an hour later, dragging my ***, so tested at 4.7 and thought that a bit low for the circs so ate the 2 mandarins I had cleverly brought with..... soon after felt a bit staggery as we were on a downhill stretch and tested at 3... was eating a sweetie, but had to just swallow it as all I could taste was strong bitter... then I ate a bar of choc and again all I could taste was bitter.. next time I tested I was 5.6 but felt like I had been run over by a bus.. Fred suggested I have a rest and found me a nice big cushy patch of moss and told me to lie down for 5 as I had a waterproof jacket on... so I did and it was very comfy except for my head, so he got me 2 pieces of bark to use as a pillow... I was really quite comfy and felt better for the rest, as we were not even half way round. After a while I said, if anyone passes they are going to think you have done me in.. he said" I was wondering what I would say if anyone went past, she was nagging me too much...." I soldiered on and we got back to the car about 2 hrs altogether... did a couple of errands and when I tested at home I was 7.8..bugger... thought it was the oranges and choccy paying me back, but an hour later I was 11.2..double buggery bollocks! must have been the phyllo finally going through... had some more insulin and then ate dinner of few ribs and coleslaw and things have settled down now to 4.9 2 hrs later.
So that was my marvelous misadventure into the exciting world of greek cookery.. what a waste of a nice walk too.

Just woke up to an fbg of 7 (my personal record I think) off to do a pretty challenging exercise class so hopefully that will reset me..
