Coming to USA next March..

As seen in title, I'm traveling to USA. Precisely, New york, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore, then San Francisco, LA and Las Vegas.

Any suggestion for a good diner in New York around W 94th St and West End Ave.? My Hostel is there (Candy Hostel) and I don't have breakfast included. Don't ask why and why I sleep there alone and four of my friends 8 blocks away in W 86th St because it's a really long story..

Cheers!

You can get some really good info on Trip Advisor by visiting the forums there. I'm a Destination Expert for Philadelphia, so if you let me know where you'll be, I can give you some tips. Maybe we can meet up if you have some time.

Regarding NYC-there aren't any diners per se, but there are lots of good places, especially on the Upper West Side where you'll be. Most good stuff is down in the 80s, though, along Columbus. Again, the NYC Trip Advisor forum is the place to check out.

I've never been to NYC (although I want to go!) but I echo Owlyn's advice to check Trip Advisor! I'd also ask at the hostel about good places to eat breakfast. Most places will serve eggs with bacon or sausage, omelettes, that sort of thing, so enjoy!

And welcome to the USA! We hope you enjoy your time with us. Have a great trip!

One other tip, ask the people working in the Hostel where they go for breakfast, you can't beat local knoweldge. I do that regularly and it does pay off. The best ever was while I was in Key Largo Florida, I had been swimming with Dolphins and after I asked the staff where they ate, they pointed me to a little place off the beaten track and it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had - I had been in NY just before this and ate breakfast in the Hilton (I got a good deal for a room) the breakfast there was $17 plus tax, while in Key Largo it was $15 for 3 people and so much nicer.

So ask around while you are there, that's my advice.
