Wendy's scores with me.

I tried a taco salad from Wendy's last night. I left out the chipolte dressing, taco chips, and sour cream. Just poured on the chili and it was a large filling meal. I loved it! I was really pleased to see my BG at 6.2(112) 2 hours later.
I was just so happy to eat "normally" and find something that works well for good numbers.

Anybody else have any restaurant faves that are good and low carb?

I usually get salads when I go to one of the "Fresh Mex" places (Qdoba, Chiptole, Moe's, etc.). They don't spike my sugar very much because most of the carbs are from the beans, and they're usually filling (300-600 calories).

I like the Wendy's chicken nuggets for a snack. They ususally don't do a thing to my BG.

Same as Twisted -- Wendy's nuggets are great. Pretty much anything on the value menu (except the fries, of course!) is good.

Vegetarian vegetable soup from Panera Bread. I also love their summer salads with cranberries.

Avocado and Canadian bacon omelette from St. Tropez. Skip the bread, and don't eat more than 4 or 5 quarters of the roasted potatoes or more 4 or 5 pieces of the fruit salad.

Wait until you try Wendy's Mandarin Chicken Salad! I didn't think I was like it, but it is really really yummy. AND, with all the fixins they put in the bag, it is only 50 carbs. It has way less fat (14 grams less) that the taco salad.

I also recently tried the small Prime Rib and Peppercorn sub at Quiznos. The Prime Rib subs have double meat (filling). If you order it without cheese you have 40 grams. Skip the chips and drink (grab water).

I really hate it when companys don't provide nutritional data. And I've started just saying "If it does not have a label or I cannot find nutritional data for it, I will not eat it". Works for me. Quiznos does not offer nutritional info (at least I couldn't find it). But calorieking did (thank goodness).

50 grams of carbs in one salad? That's more carbs than I allot myself for the day!

Quizno's does list all their nutritional info on their website. Once you look at the menu, there's a link to a little pop up window next to all their foods.

Hardees/Carl's Jr (Depending on what part of the country you are in) have a nice low carb Six Dollar Burger. They wrap the burger with all the condiments in lettuce. A little sloppy, but not bad and my 2hr (106 g/dL) was lower than what I started with. And I actually had two of them. I believe it's 4 or 5 grams per burger.
