Still thinkin about weight loss

Hi everyone, Just got back from Colorado; it was absolutely beautiful! Even though I went rafting, zip-lining, horse-back riding, and a lot of walking I still gained four lbs. during the week. As a reminder, I am 5'4' and 195. I've been Type II for the last three years. After reading a lot of responses from another forum, I found that a lot of people gain weight while taking cymbalta. (I take it for ADD and anxiety) I was diagnosed six months ago after going to an ADD center and was tested for three years. I know when I moved up here to the Houston area and started teaching here, I weighted 145-150. That means I have gained 50 lbs. After school starts (in two weeks, YIKES!!!!!!! ) I am exhausted, no energy, too, too, much to do at school. I know I need to lose weight bad!! With vacation (Col.) and being with my grand-boys I haven't gotten into a good routine of going to the gym. I'm going tody. I walk 30-40 min. at 3.5-3. mph. I'm almost obsessed with losing wt. My doc. will not give me any diet pills even for a month (I asked him) Any responses on the Cymbalta and wt. loss? I take duetact for my diabetes. There are so many of you that take metaformin, that I wonder if it's better that the duetact. I was told on this forum that my duetact is a combination of two meds.
Thanks for any ideas or advice,
Linda

Need some advice on the cymbalta and wt. loss

I think most people are working in the daytime. I hope that I get some responses to my post. I'm leaning toward more healthy habbits. Any advice is needed.

Thanks to everyone,

Linda

You might get more responses if you post this in it's own thread
