| | | Filming A New Update:
I will begin filming on June 1, 2006. June 1, 2006: 1st Interview:
A 27 year old female whom was MisDiagnosed with Type 2 - 3 years ago, She was recently ReDiagnosed as Type 1.5. This woman has no health insurance and does not see any doctor for her Diabetes. She misses shots continually due to being unable to afford Insulin and currently takes Injections sparingly. She tests her BG about 2-5 times a week and has been experiencing the ramifications of not controlling her Diabetes. She currently was in the hospital for kidney problems and the doctors feel that she is showing the early signs of Renal Failure. She is still in Denial and due to monetary concerns is unable to pay for her disease. 2nd Interview
A 50 year old man who is living with Type 1. He was diagnosed when he was 5 years old and has never had any major complications from Diabetes. He runs 3 miles a day and competes in Bicycle races that generally travel 100-200 miles in length. He currently is on MDI consisting of Lantus and Novolog. he checks his BG on average 3 times a day, when he is riding he checks about 1 every 45 minutes to an hour. June 2, 2006:
I will be shooting a intro piece that will have about 50 people of all walks of life walking down a street. There will be 15 Diabetics mingled in with the crowd. 5 Type 1, 5 Type 1.5 & 5 Type 2. There will be 3 children with type 1, 1 College Student with Type 1 & 1 adult with Type 1. There will be 5 Adults with Type 1.5 and finally there will be 2 College Students with type 2 and 3 Adults with Type 2.
They will be all mixed together and thsi will show that anyone cna be Diabetic and it is not something that you can see, Diabetes is something that anyone can have and live with and be happy.
In Post Production there will be a Audio Voice Over talking about the statistics of people living with Diabetes and a Intro piece about what the Documentary will be like. As the audio is going there will be text popping up on the screen above the diabetics showing what type they are, how long they have had diabetes and their age. These are the only shots I have confirmed and scheduled at thsi time. I will keep everyone updated on the progress as we move along. I am doing this on a budget of $0 dollars so it will not be something that I will be shooting every day

| | | You are ambitious, that's for sure! I hope you heal quickly from your accident. I can't imagine doing a whole lot with all of your injuries. Hope we get to see your work when finished. |

[/b] | Can you tell the woman about the Lilly Cares program? They will give her insulin at low cost or free if she can't afford it. Their telephone number is 800/545-6962 but a doctor will have to submit the paperwork for her.

If not I will have a few friends on set that will help me move the equipment around.

She told me that a Pharmacist has been helping her out getting Insulin under the red tape. The pharmacist "Misplaces" a Vial every other month and alters the paperwork to get her what she needs. I will not release his info or anything about him so he won't get canned. That is also why I won't be releasing the womans name either. I know it is highly illegal but in my mind it is a matter of life or death.

But, I am so grateful that someone is willing to risk themselves in order to help this woman, because it really is a life or death situation. I hope that this Lilly Cares program will help her too Please wish her the best from all of us!!

I put out multiple ads and just got no reply for young Type 2's. It disapointed me
