My wife and I lost our jobs some time ago, and we began having to pay for our own insulin. Since a bottle of Humalog is well over $100, we asked our doctor about ways to save money.

She contacted Lilly, and they have a program called "Lilly Cares" where you fill out a 2 page form, send in some income documentation, and have your doc fill out a few things for you, and they send you 4 months worth of insulin at no cost. You can keep doing this for a year, and then you have to re-apply.

Just an FYI.

Thank you for this information. I have a neighbor who is having financial issues and this will help greatly.
