I've lost 3 lbs in the last three weeks ... on 1st of August I was 96.6 kg (213 lbs); today - 21st of August - I'm 95.1 kg (209.5 lbs)

At the end of June I was 98.5kg / 217 lbs - that's down from 99.4kg / 220 lbs in February ...

Since I'm 187cm (6' 1.5") ... that still has me with a "high" BMI, but if you ask those who know me I'm starting to look skinny - and I've dropped from a 40" waist down to a 36" (or a 38" with a good belt)

Maybe I should get depressed more often ;)

It doesn't seem scary skinny, Cormac. I have a son who's 6' 2" and I think he's between 150 and 160. He's very slim but not unhealthy looking. He looks good! He's a young man of 21. His twin brother is 5' 11 and he's under 170. He looks great, too. Your pant size doesn't seem too terribly small either.

I think you are going to be the best judge. How do you feel? Aside from being depressed. Hmmmm.

A1c's: 1/11 9.4 ~ 3/11 7.9 ~ 6/11 7.8 ~ 7/11 7.6 ~ 10/11 7.5 ~ 12/11 6.4 ~ 3/12 5.9 ~ 6/12 5.4 ~ 9/12 5.4 ~ 12/12 5.3 ~ 3/13 5.1 ~ 8/13 5.5 ~ 10/13 5.4
Meds: 30 units Lantus - 2,550 mg Metformin
Diet: LCHF ketogenic, 30 to 40 carbs, dabbling in Paleo
Exercise: Lifting, walking, stair climbing
Weight Loss: 100.5 Pounds

She turned her can'ts in to cans and her dreams in to plans.

Well done on the weight loss, sound like you are at a good weight for your height. I hope the depression is lifted by now, stay strong

I still have a bit of a paunch (actually, to be honest it is more like chronic lipo-dystrophy from injecting huge volumes of insulin into my midrif), but my legs and arms are definitely a tad skinny ... and I don't have a lot of muscle tone, which looks silly on someone with a mesomorphic/endomorphic body type (OK, honestly - I've always been at the bottom end of Endomorph / top end of mesomorph)

The depression - way to complex to go into here ... but it is up and down ... but definitely messes with my appetite !

I'd skip the BMI since it's not an accurate measurement of anything. I'm 6'-2" tall and I once starved myself and got down to 210 lbs. and I looked anorexic. My ribs were sticking out of both my chest and back and people were commenting to me that I looked really bad....like maybe I was on chemotherapy. At 210 lbs., the BMI index said I was 45 pounds over my ideal weight, so I don't give the BMI index much credence. The main thing is how you look and feel, not how much you weigh.;)

Presently taking: Hyzaar for blood pressure:
Novolog and Lantus for diabetes.
Welchol for cholesterol and diabetes
Mega-Red Omega-3 Krill Oil (300 mg)
Mega-Red D3 (5000 IU)
I was diagnosed in 2003...

(The human body is so resilient that no matter how badly you abuse it, it will still last you a lifetime.)

Right now I would consider any weightloss a good thing. But you can get too much of a good thing. I don't want to look anorexic.

Sounds good to me. My older son is your height, weighs 200, and isn't skinny, nor is he fat. Age 28. some people are just built bigger, bones, etc.
