| | | To my lurking spouse! I know it's not easy living with a diabetic. The mood swings, the hypo/hyper stuff, the obsession over an illness that no one would want; the lack of being able to enjoy meals with me; my fear and depression at times....and more...
I just want you to know that I know it's not easy and I appreciate all of your support! You should come here often and read the posts of others because it will give you a better understanding of where I'm coming from. Thanks for caring.

| | Hubby sometimes reads a thread or two....but generally he thinks anyone who hangs around me too much has to be a little strange! But seriously, I do not thank him often enough for the support he gives me. Thanks Orpy for giving me this opportunity.

| | | Nice one Orpy, I sometimes wonder if our spouses realise just how great it is to have them support us, even when we are completely irrational just cause a little box gave us the wrong number.
To all the spouses, partners, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, friends and random strangers who live, work and play with us, thank you all. We are a little odd, but it just keeps things interesting.

| | | Awe that's so sweet Opry!
My hubby and I can get on each other's nerves, but we are there for one another. If you put us together we would make one healthy person. He has a bad back, just had surgery a week and a half ago, I've got diabetes. So I'm lifting toilet seats (no bending or lifting for him) and he's watching what I put in my mouth and always asking "are you allowed to eat that!?" lol.
Thank God for spouses!

| | | Orpy,
According to my mate, ALL women are impossibly moody etc, so it doesn't really matter what the precipitating cause is. He figures it is the price you pay for having a female in your life. <G>
I have the diabetes and the very bad back, so my guy has gone through a lot with me, but when I look around at other couples, yes, they don't have diabetes. But they often have something. MS. Cancer. Thyroid disease. Kids with severe problems.
So by now my take on Diabetes is that I'm extremely happy to have a condition where I can make a difference in the outcome. A lot of conditions you can't. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
