I've gone below 20 (1.1) a couple times. I've also hit 24 (1.3) and 26 (1.4), and been in the 30s a few times.

Checked twice just to be sure and got the "LO" message both times. Was fully capable to helping myself with this one.
Eek. Glad you were okay. Fortunately, I've remained conscious so far.

My first sub-20 drop was while awake. Brutal. Cold sweat, racing palpitations, et cetera. I consumed 150-160 grams of sugars, mostly via fruit juice, then went to sleep once I was out of the woods. Awoke a few hours later at 225 -- indicating that I needed all but about 55g of the CHO.

My second sub-20 drop was while I was asleep. I awoke, thought that I should test, did so, swore a bit, had some juice, rested quietly while waiting on the sugar, and was fine.

I got a reading of 7 mg/dL in a doctor's office once. I don't know if I was sick because my blood sugar was low or if my blood sugar was low because I was sick but I was in bad shape when that happened.

"LO" on the meter which is apparently under 1.7(30). We were at a function at the time, I was actually standing drinking coffee & eating snacks, felt a bit strange, went out to the car to test, didn't believe the meter & wasted 4 strips before it dawned on me that the meter was right and I'd lost my brain somewhere!

5 glucose tabs & my wife drove home. It took about 15 hours or so before I felt "normal" again.
