| I've also re-read the post, and I don't see how she was suggesting that she had a "cure" for diabetes.
She was only sharing her experience.
Sometimes people in here are overprotective of fellow posters, claiming that "newbies/inexperienced" persons could misunderstand things. AFAIK all in here are adults and can think for themselves. The impression I get is that the critisizing posters think that she wants to lure type 1 diabetics in to suicide to accomplish some kind of devilish plan of her own.
My opinion is that true type 1 diabetics are people that had their pancreas removed, their insulin production is quite nill, although a recent discovery indicates that the brain also produces insulin.
Most of the rest seems to be capable of still producing some insulin of their own, which, to me, is quite obvious from various postings of long standing "type 1".
According to Dr. Bernstein, he only knows of 2 cases of type 1 diabetics that have no measurable insulin production, himself and a patient of him.
This would explain, why some people diagnosed as type 1, can thrive on a raw food, low carb diet without the need of insulin.
And the OP deserves all the respect, since she has long standing experience in using insulin and was able to reduce, stop, synthetic insulin consumption with a diet change, showing in her case, that it works.
She hasn't to demonstrate anything as a grotesque post demanded earlier.
I can understand that some claims will raise suspicions about the intentions of the poster, after all there are a lot of snake oil salesmen outthere, but sadly enough it goes both ways, the salesman can be a "respected" member of the community, a "respected" company that wants to sell their products or just a wacko with outlandish claims that wants to sell his/her books, pills, whatever.
But I can't see that with the OP. It's a shame she was hounded out. I would love to read more from her experiences.
Thank you for your time. |
