| | | Hi Tink - I just answered in your other thread but there's more information here.
First off - get a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant you'll need to work double time to get those numbers down to reduce harm to yourself and your baby. Your chances are very very small since you used a condom.
Secondly, why are your numbers so high?
Are you a type 1 or 2?
Do you have any other illness that could be playing with your menstrual cycles? A stressed body often means delayed / changed periods.

| | Also... and I'm sure one the ladies will correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm a man so that is a foregone conclusion! )... if you have just recently stopped birth control pills your menstrual cycle could take a while to readjust. See your Doctor and/or get a pregnancy test.

| | | Welcome.
It would be a whole lot easier on everyone if your husband got snipped instead of you. It is a much much simpler and less risky operation. It is probably much cheaper too, but I don't know if that impacts you.
Your 200+bg levels need to be fixed. Pregnancy would be risky for you. Actually, you're at a lot of risk at these levels. Stick around and learn how to gain better control.

| | | Stopping the BCP can definitely cause a missed period or even a few missed periods... but you really need to be taking pregnancy tests when you are missing them just to be sure you are not pregnant. Stress and high blood sugars can also cause a miss.
Good luck getting those numbers down. Especially with one kidney you really need to work towards the goal of being in better control.

| | | I've been T1 since Jan. 07. Prior to the diagnosis it was like clockwork every month. Even though I was on birth control, and taking it properly, about 3 or 4 months before I knew I was diabetic, it just went completely out of wack. Sometimes it would be late, other times it would be early. At times I would barely even bleed. After the first month of being on insulin, everything went back to normal. |

| | | Yes, stress and high bg's can cause a woman to miss her cycle for as short as a month up to a few months. I still on the other hand would get a test done. If your 4 weeks late then you shouldn't have any problem with getting results with a home pregnancy test.
