| | | It wuld appear from the lack of response I have had that not many others have had to experience IVF treatment. Therefore I shall make it my mission to keep this post informed of my progress so if anyone else has go through this they will have this post as a form of reference.
23rd May 08 : start injections
Wish me luck! |

| | | Good luck, I guess. What is IVf treatment?
Your initial post probably slipped out of the top ten and no one picked it up. Once is slips down, it tends not to be seen except for those that look hard. I never saw it, and I do look hard.

Good luck! | That's a women's thing right? Nope. Never tried it
I have a good friend who's wife tried this a few times to no avail. They finally adopted two and are very happy. When I think back at all the adopted kids I know, it is a very worthwhile and fulfilling thing to do.
Best of luck.

| | | Hi,
I did IVF in 2006 and got pregnant after one embryo was transfered. My son was born in April 2007. I just found this forum, and would be happy to answer any questions. I also blogged extensively about my infertility treatment and pregnancy with type 1 at Managing the Sweetness Within (Managing The Sweetness Within) if you want to go back and read the archives. (The IVF stuff was happening in July and August 2006).
Good luck!

| | | My neighbor went through 4 rounds of IVF before giving up. She then sold her mortgage business and promptly got preggers... twice. Stresses around her business were apparently all that kept her infertile.
Best of luck getting the kiddos to grow!
Mike

| | | Just thought of another helpful resource, for anyone doing IVF with diabetes. A website had a thread about diabetes and IVF when I was starting treatment, and it may likely still have an active thread. And if it doesn't, you can always start one.

| | | Sorry i've been really rubbish about keeping this post updated. This has been a highly emotional experience.
I am currently on my 2 week wait. This is the period of time between having the embryos transferred and doing the pregnancy test.
I produced 5 eggs, 4 fertilised and 2 embryos were transferred back into my uterus. The remaining 2 did not develop to the next stage so I was unable to have any embryos frozen.
I am to do a pregnancy test on Thursday so will let you all know how I get on.
Fingers crossed.

xx | Are you on pump? It will be much easier on pump than MDI when all the hormones start pouring unto you when pregnant.
Hope your pregnancy test comes back positive!

| | Hi guys
Unfortunately I have had a negative pregnancy test result . I started bleeding on Monday, day 10 after embryo transfer and sort of knew then that something wasn't right.
I am devastated but am trying to remain positive for the future. I have an appointment with the NHS on 29th July and hope a second attempt will be more successful.
The private clinic that I went to on this occasion have been very supportive and I am going to see them on Wednesday 16th July for a follow uo appointment to discuss this cycle.
The nurse I spoke to on the phone yesterday did suggest that on my next attempt that I should probably inject progesterone after the embryo transfer as opposed to pessaries which I used for this cycle.
So now I am focussing on my next attempt. Maintaining and improving my blood sugars, keeping fit, healthy and relaxed!
Many thanks to you all for your support .
Sarah
