WHATS UP FELLO DIABETIC BROTHERS AND SISTERS> FYI Talking to my doc today about the glico watch. U wear it like a watch and it monitors your blood sugar and sounds an alarm if u get to low. The positives are if u are blind or live alone its a def plus for you. The neg that I know of so far is that it can scar the wrist with prolong use. It uses current to get readings,It is not effective if u r sweating and would require several swaps of the electro patch under the watch,Finally beacause its not allways accurate he is finding that Diabetics are relying totaly on the watch and not testing themselves only to start having troubles with hi or lows that they would have found through normal testing anyway. I just got my Glucowatch Introductory traing program in the mail. It gives you all the info on the watch.

What i have read with this watch is you must change the place of the watch each time. Do not place it on any cuts, scrape, sunburn, razor cuts, or area with hair.

There are too many bad things about the glucowatch...yes they are heading in the right direction with it ...but its not accurate...you only wear it for 12 hours at a time and then you have to switch spots...and you still have to check your blood sugars throughout the course of the day also ...it says in the pamphlet that its NOT TO REPLACE YOUR BLOOD GLUCOSE MONITOR....i will get one when they replace blood machines and i know that it will be accurate...until then no WATCH for me...I do definatly think that they will come ou t with something that will be effective....i just dont think the watch is quite there yet
