You ever get a food product and the container looks like to be a normal serving size with say 16 carbs per serving total serving per container 2.5. How about a drink like a soda can that looks to be less than a 12 oz.

Why do they do such things. That should be ilegal to provide such confusing and misleading info like that.

Any thoughts?

More and more labels are starting to show the carbs contained in the whole package and servig size. Hopefully all will be doing this soon.

I still want to see labeling on food from fast food restuarants. McDonalds started, and abruptly quit just several months ago...

They haven't quit in my area yet and I tried to do a search about it and nobody says they quit.

The thing I hate is why does McDonalds get the bad name? Burger King, Wendy's, Rally's, etc. all have food just as bad and some even worse (BK has the large calorie single menu item of all fast food.) So what has McDonalds done to be the one singled out?

I wasn't singling out McDonald's. I've never seen labeling on any other fast food and I miss it...

McD's is still labeling in North Carolina. I got a big laugh in one of my diabetes classes when I joked about the label on the 16oz Gatorade being a 2-serving bottle. We all know it's stupid, I'm sure the companies realize it will only fool careless people and that we expect one smallish container to be one serving.



Some practices are just flat-out unethical, and that's a fine example.

McD's is still labeling here as well...but Eri's favourite fast food place is Subway, and they've always had theirs on their napkins...

Other than that, it does drive me crazy how some things are misleading ...
