There is this new campaign to raise money for type 1 research for a cure in Israel that the Israeli ADA (obviously not called ADA around here) came up with. They put these donation boxes in stores around the country. It has a picture of a very sweet 5-6 years old girl and it says "To reach the age of 17 she will have to take 13,500 shots. We must find a cure for type 1 diabetes" (translated from Hebrew). I thought it's nice so I wanted to share. I hope the money ends up achieving at least some progress to help type 1s.

I've seen similar donation boxes for JDRF in our local grocery stores. If everyone tossed in their spare change, they'd raise alot of money I'm sure.
