| | | Driving I try to test every time before I get in the car, but I admit to not being perfect, so let's take a poll!

| | | The only time I don't test is if I've recently tested and well within my driving comfort zone. Normally, though, every time. I'm totally paranoid at the thought of going hypo while driving. |

| | I only do when I know I haven't eaten in a while. I'm not one to get many hypos though so I don't worry so much about it. I laughed at the "What's a test?" option. I guess one would have to be in the wrong place.

| | | When I voted most of the time, it's like 95%. The few times I don't, it's because I tested in the last two hours, knew I was stable, etc.

| | | I'm like Stu, I can generally guess my BG quite well. However, most of my car journeys (when I had a car) were pretty short anyway - I live about half and hour away from pretty much everything. On longer journeys though I will test, and I'll probably test mid-journey too. I've lost track of the amount of times I've pulled over at Taunton Deane services on the way to Exeter. |

| | | I don't test UNLESS I am going on a long trip...over an hour away. I then normally test when I get up, 2 hours after (which is when I am on the road) and depending upon the result I set a schedule (in my head) of how often to test there after.

| | | I always try to know what my BS is while driving, which like some others only means testing sometimes right before driving. |

| | | I said "most of the time" only because sometimes I've checked close enough before I'm driving that I know I'm ok. I is very unsafe for a type 1 to drive without knowing what their bg is...

Plus I have sugar and candy in the truck as well as in my purse, just in case!

| | | I should mention that I pretty much always know where my BGs are. It is rare that I get into a car without having tested recently anyway. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
