Hi And Welcome.
Thanks for looking out for your BF, that's Very Caring of you. Must
be Love.

Anyways, you can help him but he will have to pull the
main stuff together himself. There is so much involved as you probably
noticed. I can't blame you's for being confused. Doctors still can't
seem to agree on it all. Researchers are....still searching...for the
finale.
He'll be okay as long as he is motivated enough to take control of his
Life and this disease. He must learn all he can but start him with the
basics so he won't be overwhelmed. I'm sure his Health Team have
given him some of the info he needs so he should learn all that first if
he hasn't already.
Other questions he may have, just ask or he can come here and ask
himself. He has support here and support from Folks who already have
it is Great.
Tell him not to fret. I've had Diabetes since I was aged 3 and I'm still
doing pretty Good. I've had a full life and he can to if he gets with the
program. He may be interested in getting a pump if he'd prefer less
needles. Oh and don't believe everything you read or hear from his Dr.
as gospel. Each Diabetic is individual in their metabolism rates, reactions
to stress, different foods, beverages, weather, illnesses. He has to test
often and figure those parts out for himself.
Best to you both. Hope to see you and him often.
