Finially some good news

Haven;t been around too much as of a bit here, been giong through one of those meloncholly states where one just wants to find a closet and set up camp in it. Still in and out of that state myself but actually have some good news for once.

Finially got myself set up with the VA and had a real doctors appointment this week.. **** it's prolly been 3-4 years sicne i could have one (**** finances and lack of insurance) but I have to say the VA wasa very good experience, not sure if they are being extra nice because of the current "scandals" of if this iss just a good clinic.

Got a box in the mail yesterday from them, was like a pot of gold for me, Had an accu-check complete meter in it.. one of those ones that hook to the computer to print out graphs charts and who knwos what eles , prolly will do my horoscope or somethign also. 750 accucheck strips, 8 bottles of R and N insulin Each syrenges, lancets , Prep pads the whole nine years and 3 refils for the next year period.

To sweeten the deal, they want me to go up next month for another appointment with one of their specialists for a long consultation and the possibility of a pump being issued.

So its an upswing, still bummed about not being able to hold any sort of employment , still have good and bad, and really bad days but spring is coming also winter is always the worst for me. At least now i have no lack of mediciation.

I'm very happy that things are looking up for you! It's so hard to even make ends meet most of the time, let alone the other things in life that come up and need our money and time and attention. So glad the VA has you hooked up with dr.'s, supplies, meters, etc. Thats half of the battle right there. I hope things continue to just get better and better for you! Take care of yourself.

Ugh, I know it's tough going w/o medical care- especially with having Diabetes.. Hopefully, now things will really start turning around for you.

Hang in there
