Question??? Help

I am a type one diabetic on the insulin pump...Last week my infusion site caused me to get cellulitis. Not cellulite, but the skin infection. I was put on antibiotics and it has not spread, but there is a hard bump underneathe the skin that has gotten bigger and it hasnt popped.

I have been feeling nauseated and light headed...my fever is low like 99.3, but I am worried that maybe the infection is making me feel sick.

The best way to describe it is I feel like I am running in the 400s, but I am really in the low 100s.

Does anyone know what I should do???

Sorry I can't help you. I don't know of anyone personally that has gotten cellulitis from an infusion site. Hope you feel better soon.

Keep the bg down and make sure you drink enough water. The antibiotics should take care of the infection, but it may take awhile. Probably best to not take anything to knock down the fever unless it goes too high; it's your body's own way of combating the infection. Hope you feel better soon...
