Are these lab results consistent with Type 1?

C-peptide: 1.25 ng/ml (Reference Range 0.80-3.90)

Islet Cell Autoantibodies: >80 (Reference Range <5)

Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase 4.90 (Reference Range 0-0.02)

Seems like two of them suggest type 1.... anyone have any source online thats good at showing good info on these specific tests?

Sounds like a person in honeymoon stage who has slight insulin-making capability remaining... or who has just recently been diagnosed. Recently dx'ed people usually show more antibodies (due to the initial immune system response).

What was the HbA1c?

A good online source for lab test information is labtestsonline.org.

Also, Quest Diagnostics (aka Lab One) has online references for many of their tests which are "intended" for the clinicians, but can be accessed by non-medical folk, too!

that person is me.... labs were done in Feb 2007

last A1c was 8.0 (11/2006, so I'm due for one now)

Diagnosed Jan 2006 first they thought it was type 2 and then when I failed on several oral meds I switched Endocrinologists and new MD ran above tests and diagnosed with Type 1

Sounds like a honeymoon phase or LADA.
