oh yes i love it!

I was out of control for so long due to horrible doctors keeping me on metformin/actos instead of putting me on insulin...

Finally found a good endo

Only bad thing about the insulin is that I gain weight MUCH easier now

Hey man, i totally understand the weight gain thing! Ive managed to get my a1c down to 7.9 in the last three months from 9.. The reason? NEW INSULIN and better eating!!!! And now I weigh 5 kilos more!

T2, diagnosed 8/31/06.
Byetta 5 mcg
HCTZ 12.5 mg every other day for BP
Enalapril 20 mg 1 daily (ace-inhibitor)
Lower carb dieter (approx. 75 total carbs/day, more on weekends), taking chromium, multivitamin and fish oil tablets


Initial A1C 8/06: 9.6
11/06: 6.2.
03/07: 5.3
06/07: 5.4
10/07: 5.3
05/08: 6.2 (right after dealing with shingles and bronchitis)

Congratulations on your improved blood sugars. Sorry about the weight problem. So many things can cause that. It is a constant problem to most of it. But you probably feel so much better with the improved BG's you will have the ability to keep down the weight too.
