I have this problem as well. I have found a natural supplement that has helped me somewhat. It's called Phosphatidylserine--I have seen it used in some natural supplement formaulas for kids with ADHD. I usually get a "Phosphatidylserine complex" that also contains Phosphatidylcholine. Everyone is different though--I just mentioned it in case you want to research it.

Yep. Too high and it's like ADD, too low and you want to sleep.

Absolutely.

When I'm high, it takes me much longer to get a task done than it will if I'm running at decent levels. It's just like the train of thought goes around in circles and never really takes a step in the right direction. Most frustrating....

The good thing is that when you are running at a decent BG level, you feel like you can take on the world. I think it's because I get frustrated at the times I find it difficult to focus that the times when I'm running normally I am extra motivated to get as much done as I can. I have to get my sugars between 120 and 160 when I study, but I think years of bad control at times has taken its toll...I am so fidgety and distracted all the time.
