What do you do when these bubbles, or a line of bubbles even... appears out of nowhere in the tubing? Blood sugars are fine.....?????????????????

I've been told that the worst thing air bubbles in the tubing do (small ones at any rate) is cause you to miss a little insulin. I've followed that advice and not worried about the bubbles and everything's been OK with me so far.

You cannot avoid them, they always exist, even if you have done everything necessary.You should be aware of them in case of having some unexplainable BGs.Then you just push them out by holding continuously the ACT button as bolusing while they disappear.At least I do that.

If they are tiny little champagne sized bubbles, they aren't much to worry about. However, if it's a bigger bubble that could cause problems ... I had a HUGE bubble in the reservoir and my blood sugars were horrendous! ... I didn't realize it til I called MM helpline and they asked me to remove it. Ugh, that was a real pain in the @ss!

If you disconnect, you can prime them out. That way it doesn't interfere with your IOB, as opposed to bolusing them out.

It would be easier to do a manual prime when pushing bubbles out. I don't think I can do that on my MM 712 without rewinding first.
