I agree with the others, you should see a urologist. There are many problems that can cause discomfort in the groin area, but serious problems can easily be ruled out on examination. Impotence is probably the least of your worries right now. If you have full-on severe pain, i'd suggest your get to an emergency room. Not sure of your age, but young men in the teens and early 20's can have testicular torsion which causes severe pain and should not be left untreated. Of course kidney stones, infection and back/spine problems can also cause pain/discomfort/spasm in that area.

Had any high bg's recently?
Best get it check out. Because of the large number of nerves in that area of the body it can point towards many different serious illness.

I had something similar a few years back. It freaked me out so I went to the urologist. Diagnosed with a "spasming bladder". The doctor said that it was probably diabetes related and prescribed some pills which took care of things almost immediately. I'm not saying not to worry, but see the doc before you drive yourself crazy.

Muscle twitches can commonly occur die to sleep deprivation. A couple years back I had horrible eye twitches which I thought were diabetes related and it turned out to be because I wasn't getting near enough sleep. This will happen occasionally in my arms and legs when I don't get enough sleep as well.

yes i have had a really high BGL. and from what i remember, the spasms started around that time too. anyways, i woke up in the middle on the night shacking violently and had sweat literally dripping off my body. i had opened up a new bottle of lantus. anyways i went to go get something to eat asap. (i know this part is stupid but it was so hard to control myself). I had A LOT of cereal because my hunger pains were so bad. well i woke up that morning with a BGL of 364. and it seems that every since then, the spasms started.

Ma'am, could you give me a hand, I have a twitch

I don't think impotence is in your future but you need to get to a doctor as this is not something we should touch
