| | | Articles like this cause a lot of fear....seems like nearly everything is or can be linked to diabetes.
On the other hand....I only know one person who is deaf and he doesn't have diabetes.....and I know lots who are diabetic and aren't deaf.
Do many of my fellow forum family suffer from hearing loss? If so, at what age did you notice this?

I always thought it was some form of neuropathy. Who knows.

I often cannot hear Troy talking to me, and through my life I've learned to lip read. I will often tell people to look directly at me when they are talking and they wonder why...lol. |

I often dont hear all of conversations and have to look at people so I can "see" what they are saying. |

It like saying people ove 6' are mostly male so if you're over 6' you a man.
Hearing loss occurs as we age. Too much loud noises. Plus everything tends to go downhill as we age. It natural. Maybe diabetics are real party people who spent too much time in clubs.
I ran a hearing test off a computer program years ago and it was obvious that as you got older, you had trouble hearing as many frequencies. Nobody had diabetes.
