MAJOR BS issues

Man I am having some MAJOR issues here. I'm not sure what the **** is going on but my BS levels are going everywhere!!
Has been going on for the last week maybe a little less. I thought it might be a site so I changed the pump site and that's not it. I was 179 and I bolused for that then I had a coffee and ya know one of those NUMMY Hostess cupcakes and I bolused for that and two hows later I'm at 520!!!!!!!!!!
My BS levels have just been going up and down up and down and the UPS are WAY up there. I have no freakin clue whats going on. I know I feel pretty good. Getting good sleep just no idea what's happening.
Any ideas?? My insulin is not expired either

Almost seems like you got no insulin right there......going up 350.....those cupcakes and coffee could make it do that without insulin....thats nuts though.

couple things, are you sure you bolused correctly for the cake? Sometimes the nutrition facts are for HALF of the thing... so you have to double the carbs to get a real number.

Second, are you sure your basal rate is set correctly? I have spikes like that when i'm getting to the end of a bottle of lantus... somehow when the basal isn't kicking right the highs get very spiky.

Or, I know you say the insulin isn't expired, but was it exposed to heat recently? Left my insulin in the car once... got highs like those.

Ugh- that stinks!

In no particular order:
Basals ok? My boluses don't work well when my basals are even a tiny bit off.
Reservoir and tubing changed recently?
Run a self-diagnostic on the pump?
Change in seasons/weather or allergies?

I know that that's not much help, but it's all I can think of right now. Hope that you get it sorted out and feel better soon!

Yea I just change everything yesterday morning. I seemed to be doing better and then WHAM back up it went. I've been pumping for 5 years now so I've got it down pretty well.......same goes with carb counting except when it comes to spegetti and pizza......those still kick my ***. I even opened a new vial a insulin just in case.
If change of weather is it then this is the first time it's ever done that. We got snow on the mountain tops this last week YAY.
Ran the self diagnostics and everything checked ok
I'm starting to think infection of some type but **** if I know where it would be.

Are you're hands clean when your testing???

Also, any type of high stress or have lots of adrenaline going? When I played basketball I was always high right after the game, but 30 minutes later I would be fine. If I'd have corrected the high I would have gone low.
