| | | Cured for the day?? Ever have one of those days where no matter what you do, you're just low all day?
I am having one today.
6:00 58 bg 30g of OJ
6:30 not feeling better, have to leave for work, drink 30g more OJ
6:45 Eat a Special K cereral bar 18g
7:15 Decide to cover 30g of what I ate b/c 78g is way to much to not cover!
8:10 56 bg...grrr. Eat 6 Starburst (24g) suspend pump for 30 min.
8:30 66 bg and another special k bar. (18g)
9:00 67 bg suspend pump again for another 30min.
1pm 65 bg 60g of Apple juice (while in line), Footlong sub (90g), and a bag of cheetos (30g) for lunch... (Only ment to drink half the juice, but then I looked down and it was all gone...) Covered for 165g (a nice 20.6 units)
Mind you between 7:45-11am I had 26 five/six years olds in front of me as well. Came home early today b/c of an eye appointmet this afternoon.
I normally cover 1u per 8g. My cartridge is low and needs filled so it's not new insulin. My site is overdue for a change (on day 4 now). I did not do lots of excercise or anything else out of the ordinary yesterday. I am just having one of those crazy days where I am apparently cured. As it usually goes when this happens, I will run high all of this evening and will be correcting like crazy. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

| | | My son has had the odd day like that. Fighting lows all day, then eventually it all catches up and he overshoots.
Actually it works the other way around too. After a day with high BS and multiple corrections, he's almost bound to go low by around bedtime.

| | | I have a day like that about once a month. girlie hormones are wonderful! I dunno if it's estrogen or what, but there's one day a month when I can eat whatever I want, and not have any high bgs.

| | | I love those days. I can eat a ton and still be low. Most of the time it is while I'm working outside all day or I have done 30+ miles on my bike. It usually only lasts a few hours but it is interesting.
