Thumbs up Another Update From Gobbly!

Hey all,

I have not been on here much lately but I just wanted to pop in and update anyone who remembers my story.

For those who don't know about my story I will tell you in short, I basically have had a HBA1c of 13+ for like at least 5 years up until last Christmas when I started taking diabetes serious as I was starting to show signs of damage to my eyes which was a wake up call.

A few months back I left people with an update saying my HBA1c was 6.3 and that my eyes had started clearing up and also my neuropathy was going slightly.

Anyway, it has now been 9 months and my HBA1c is 5.3, my eyes are pretty much cleared up and the neuropathy is still getting better day by day but is quite a slow process.

I am now doing talks around the UK to young children with diabetes to help them manage and finally, I am running a corporate charity event to raise money for research, I don't think I am allowed to post a link to the charity on the forum am I? If I can then I shall obviously.

Well that is my update, I hope that everyone on here is ell, take care!

Thumbs up You did Great!

That is the best news I have heard in a long time. I have been careful ever since I was diagnosed, and have dreaded finding a complication, such as eye problems and neuropathy. You are bringing your body back into shape and for that I have to say HOO-RAY!

I don't know what the rules are about posting charity info.
