Going to bed hungry...

Ok, im just wondering now, anyone else done this?

I'll eat dinner at 6 pm, then have a snack around 10, and go to bed at 10.30. Sometimes, i will be slightly hungry when going to bed, but išll still be around 6.5-7.0. Usually that is no problem for me, i will be stable. But if i am slitghtly hungry, i drop like crazy between 12 and 2am. I did this last night. went to sleep at 12 with 6.8. Woke up at 2 am from bad nightmares and 3.6.

It is annoying me a lot. Nights are so tricky for me. My sleep is suffering. I usually check once a night. sigh.

Do you have some thing to get out of a low beside your bed?
If you do then good, But then if you are still hungery, Have a small snack just to get the hunger bug happy. I hope that will keep you off to sleep.

ah i've tried that, i just dont like to have to eat that late. esp if i go high. i have yet to find a good low carb snack that i can eat enough of to make me feel full...
Luckily i feel ok even below 3 so i can get a snack. but i dont want to go there of course.

Same here last night. I went to bed in the 7's but was feeling very empty. I woke up at 1:30 from a hypo (Yay I noticed one!!!) and my wife did too. After my juice I tested at 3.0.

Theoretically my basal rates should keep me stable regardless, but I always take feeling hungry as a warning sign. I thought I was high enuff last night, but no

I plan an all-nighter Friday to basal test. Join me anyone. I will try to be in chat at least once in awhile

I have the same thing quite often. I found that eating something high in protien helps get me through the night. Peanutbutter spread on crackers works wonders for me.
