| | | I got a new pen, it's nice hehe I've been using the humapen Ergo for like 2-3 years, they are free to get but they are cheap. A few weeks ago I saw a advertisement on Tv for the humapen Luxura and it said go to freeinsulnpen.com or somthing like that. They sent me a coupon for a free one they cost 89.99 aparently. so I brought the coupon in and they ordered it for me and I just got it. It's really solid and snazzy lol. I also got a free backup meter a few weeks ago (a one touch ultra 2). Is it wrong to get excited about new diabetic supplies |

I don't think it is. The last time I got a new a new monitor I felt the same. It was as exciting as having a new piece of clothes. How silly!

I still like this pen though. |

| | | The pen in the pic is the Memoir. That's the one with the LCD and a memory.
The pen in question is the Luxura, which can give half units, but no memory or read out.
Wouldn't it be great if they had a pen that could do both? |

| | | Just wondering if Lantus has a nice pen. The one my son has is blue and just isn't as smooth of an injection as his Humalog, for instance. The pen you pictured seems to be like his Humalog pen and I would really like one for his Lantus. Just wondering!
I believe he has the Opti Click pen. Anyone else experience this? (Maybe his is faulty?) |

| | | The Lantus SoloStar disposable pens are the way to go. Get rid of that nasty OptiClick pen. Those two are your only choices in the U.S.

| | | Please everyone stay away from the Humapen Memoir. It will not withstand normal pen use. It must be kept at room temperature and not high humidity. It is 100% useless as a portable device. I had two of them, both now returned to Lilly. I switched to a Luxura HD. Yes, I miss the memory feature, but if I can't take it with me, it is useless.
