Hey all, its been a while for me.. having some pretty scary and frystrating issues right now though.
Ive been Insulin dependant for about 18 yrs, on the pump and humalog about 8-10 yrs.
Ive always had good BGL's.. 6-7 A1c's
The last week or so my BGL's have been extreeemly hard to control.
I'll eat and bolus correctly and I'll be at 300+ !
Then I'll take the "right" correction and 2 hours later it will be 230-270 -ish. I'll rebolus with the "right amount" again and it will finally get down around 150-180's
It seems to take 3 times more insulin than usual to get highs down.
SOMETIMES a food bolus works great, others, it seems like I am hyper sensitive to carbs or somthing.
I'll go a day good and then sudenly a day that I cannot get below 200 to save my life.
Normal days were 40-50 units, now Im at 70+ on the exact same routine.
Ive changed my sites TONS and am in great health.
Ive started a lowER carb diet today and it seems to help (today). Im going to end up with 55 units unless I get a high.
Please help if you have any ideas!
