New personal best

Went up to 17.8(300+) yesterday night. The highest i've been since diagnosis. Nacho chips combined with half a spoon of icecream and not moving much. Man.

Also my TDD is creeping up in numbers. It's at 8-9 now, it was 4 in june. Is my honeymoon finally ending?

OK you have had just a year of diabetes and to perfect the art of bolusing correctly. 300 is not good at all but then it's a lerning curve. We are human!!! and we do make mistakes.
read books and look at threads here that concern you. Anyway it is an understanding what diabetes is doing to you.

It may seem like a bad thing, but it's actually easier once the honeymoon is over. Then it's completely up to you and the variability due to unknown amount of insulin production is removed. Just you and your pocket pancreas... Good luck!

Not likely with such a low tdd. I know we are all different, but I'd bet you need zeros after those numbers first.

Your honeymoon is coming to an end, but it's probably a long way from over..... my TDD was zero in January, ~6U Lantus from May, and now 10-12U Lantus + 3-4U Apidra. I remember seeing a comment from Bluesky recently somewhere here indicating that a TDD of around 25U is an approximate marker of no more beta cell function - although I guess the actual number is heavily dependant on individual variations in body size and diet......
