Besides being tested in a lab, is there a definitive way to tell that you've stopped honeymooning, or that you're producing very little insulin?
Don't know for sure, but a good yardstick is probably "what is your TDD of insulin?" I remember seeing a post here recently saying that a T1 needs ~25U TDD when no longer producing any insulin. But even this will vary greatly depending on individual body size and diet. . . .
Well my honeymoon ended, when we got back from Fiji. OH you mean THAT honeymoon ! I knew when I had to start bolusing for things like salad with croutons , or snacks that had over 20 carbs.
