| | | Cappuccino Hello,
just a quick question i know some people say caffeine makes their BG's go hig but does anyone suffer the opposite effects?
whenever i have a cappuccino i find that it drops my sugar levels to within a somewhat decent range so if i'm 11mmol/L within an hour of drinking it i drop to about 7!
anyone have the same effect?

| | | That is odd!
Could it be coincidence? Could your long-acting insulin be a bit too strong? Have you noticed this lowering effect more than once or could be just the tail of your last meal insulin doing the work for you? Or do you only drink your Cappuccino when you've finished running a marathon!? lol Perhaps the coffee gives you a major buzz and you run around like a mad hen for an hour which drops your BG? Maybe not lol.
As with anything else to do with diabetes, there's no strict rule that applies to each and every person - so it's not really that surprising to hear you get the opposite effect than we'd expect. Quite lucky, really!

| | Since we are talking about cappuccino, did you know that Starbucks actually failed in Israel? How many countries can claim that?
