is APIDRA avaiable in UK on NHS

Hi - several people have been recommending a switch to Apidra to smooth peaks....is this readily available on NHS?

Yup. That's where I live

If you do go for it, get the Solostar disposable pens, as the Optipen things stink!

i dont see why you couldn't have both... at the end of the day if that's what you need to treat and stay in control... then that's what you need.
As long as you dont keep them out of the fridge for more than 28 days or it will go off...

Rather than the hassle of having an extra insulin, it might be easier to split your Apidra shot - My SOP is 2/3 upfront and the rest after about 45 mins. I do that routinely for my evening meal and any other meal that I think will take some time to digest.

That way it makes estimating any corrections and allowing for IOB much easier.
