| | How many of you are on Lantus? So how many of you are on Lantus?
And how many units do you take?
I'm on it, and I take 52 units at Bed.

| | | I love Lantus...after a few years of "adjusting"....now I take 24-25 units each morning. I don't like night time doses...do much better with morning dose. |

| | | yeah, they had me doing it in the morning along with my humalog, but that wasn't helping. I like the night time doses better, and I also LOVE lantus.

| | I am a Lantus user, can't say I love the stuff, it's neither friend nor foe. It’s more of a fence sitter that keeps changing sides. I am on 9units in the evenings (when I don’t overdose ).

| | | I have you all beat, I take 97 units at night. I tried splitting it and as it made little difference, decided I didn't like taking that extra shot every day.

| | Uh, now I'm not sure I belong on here any more.
18 units at 11:30 pm every night. haven't had to up the amount in over 3 years.
So, does 18 units really mean I have Diabetes, or is this just psychosomatic manifestation of an illness?

| | I have been using Lantus for about 5 years now. About 15 units a day, split between morning and before-bed shots. But I also have to inject 8 units of Actrapid (Regular) to help cover higher basal requirements in the morning. The consistency of Lantus is good, but the lack of a peak is a mixed blessing. It means that Lantus is not very flexible and does not handle variation in the basal profile very well.

| | | I've been taking it for about 3 years. I take 14 units in the AM and 6 units in the pm. Weird, but effective.
And to say that I have a love/hate relationship with it would be putting it mildly.

| | I've BEEN on it, and it worked well enough, but was some stinging son of a gun and **** pen (back then). Switched to Levemir and loving it! The Novopen 4 is brilliant
I take 48-50 units of Levemir in the PM when on MDI... Now i'm currently back to pumping

| | | Until last week, when I started pumping. I took 15 units in the evening. I think I may very well still have some insulin of my own left. |

| | | I've used Lantus for almost 4 years and it has greatly reduced hypos for me. It took me a while to realize that it was only covering me for 18-20 hours and consequently I have had to split my doses to 26 U in the morning and 22 in the evening about 12 hours apart. After fine tuning the doses I have had great consistent results from it.
