| | | New HBA1C today I went to my doctor today for my visit. Have been there twice before, I had 10.8% at dx, then 7.6% two months later, then 5.3%!! now.
Very happy with the results, shows that my hard work is paying off. I'm going back in 2-3 months, and I hope I stay in the 5ish range then too.
The doc also said that very few of my beta cells were destroyed, I asked what that ment and she wasn't sure. If more would get destroyed over the years or how fast it would happen, she couldn't give an answer on.
The new thing I'm going to do, which I already thought of for a while, is to set a little insulatard at around 10am, just so my BG doesn't go up as much as it does around bedtime (usually goes up to about 8 mmol). |

| | wow, congrats that is an impressive A1c. I believe your pancreas will get worse over time. I seem to be honeymooning as well and I know it will come to an end, I just take it as it comes Good luck with keeping that A1c down. What is your TDD out of interest? My TDD is 9.5units.

| | | I'm on about 20-25 units a day.
Olidus: Don't know what kind of tests, but they could see that my pancreas was still producing insulin.
Also, from the test 2 months ago, all the other bloodworks was very good too.
I'm recieving quantum medicine treatment at the moment, because it turns out I have mono, so I'm very interested to see what will happen when I've gotten rid of that. |
