Infuse-a-port? Is it time?

OK so I've been a T1 for 35 yrs. on multiple daily injections and have recently experienced the old (easily accessable) site going bad...now i have to go to arms and the rear and they're pretty used up too.................does anyone know anything about or have heard anything about an infusable port that can be placed sub-q????

my sugars have been so high lately that it seems the Lantus and NovoLog just don't want to work any more unless I take a very large amount ...i'm completely frustrated with trying to control my levels when i can't rely on absorption (i know it's the absorption- i've done my control testing)

help!

There's the and the iPort. They're similar to pump sets. insuflon is angled, iPort is straight in. They're replaced every 3 days, like a pump set.

The problem is, this can cause scar tissue too. Possible less. I don't really know.

The key is rotating sites as much as possible.

pump failed ...i had it for almost a year and did everything i could with MM - they sent different size canulas and inserters

i gave it up after 2 months of extremely high sugars

i'm experiencing the same thing now that i think my sites are getting so used up that my body doesn't want to absorb anymore - it's scaring me and i want to know if anyone out there is using a port that can absorb insulin
