At a certain point you just roll your eyes up and go with the flow... no point in fighting it anymore

I don't mean for you to give up... just let it sweep off you... like water of a duck's back

My first Wife and I had a serious flood in our first house... the main pipe had burst in the attic soaking into the insulation until several hours later the ceilings finally gave way under the weight and the house was pretty much totaled inside... it took several months before we had it all straightened out again. Later we were living in Royal Naval Married Quarters and the apartment/flat above us had a flood which again came down all over our place. When we walked in on the flood we both just kinda looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and without a word started off to get the mops and towels to clean up the mess

Ok....maybe I will admit that I forgot to put my pump on TWICE yesterday. Went on my walk last night and left it on my dress pants, then changed into my sleeping shorts and left it on my sweats. What a night.

I need to have my pump implanted!

Ok, I just got caught up at the part where Nancy suggested chocolate.

I think that's a great idea.....and really, my bloodsugar can't get much WORSE! :P

(You're not kidding about the goose poop, Jan....a goose can out-poo a medium-sized dog!)

Thanks again.

I'm recalling a Dilbert cartoon strip where Alice has yet another project assigned on top of her already overflowing schedule... she suddenly comes to the realisation that she can't possibly succeed and this in fact gives her immediate release... she realises that no matter what she does the end result will be the same... even if she does nothing at all Then they go into a meeting where the pointy-haired boss says he need someone to do a chair inventory... Dilbert suggests, "Sounds like a job for Alice"

Well things are starting to look up for at least some of the items on my list:

1. Murphy seems to be starting to feel better. He's much perkier than yesterday.

2. My painful CGMS sensor is starting to feel better. I thought I might have a week of pain ahead of me, but it looks like that won't be the case.

3. My CGMS sensor is getting MUCH more accurate now with some more calibrations.

5. Effexor is all kicked in again.

6. Pump worked for the rest of the day.

9. Computer worked for the rest of the day.

10. No more bad hypos, but still pretty tired from that bad one this morning.

11. I didn't have to go to that meeting this afternoon.

So that only leaves a few items unresolved. So be it.

Whew Beth, I hate days like that one. I am glad poor little Murphy is feeling better after his goose treats. I have taken my dogs to the park where the geese are and they are always interested in the goose treats too. Nasty!

Now. Go get some candles, a glass of white whine and some chocolate and a good book. You deserve a break!

Slept GREAT last night. CGMS is working (mostly) and barely hurting. I'm working from home today, so that's nice and relaxing.

AND, I happen to have an appointment with a counsellor today to discuss strategy re: getting off my anxiety meds.....after yesterday an appointment with a counsellor seems very appropriate. She's one who is very used to dealing with diabetics. She works out of the same clinic as my CDE. Should be good. Timely, for sure.

Thanks for all the encouragement!
