If you can get NPH to work for you, go for it. For myself, I found the harsh peak of NPH to be unpredictable and very annoying. My basal needs vary a bit most likely, but seem to be flat enough to be Levemir-able.

If NPH is the solution for you, go for it. I just found I went low too often, and at night, to make it worth my while to stay on it.....

ah right im seeing why hes suggesting try the levemir first. i suppose if it comes to it id rather be waking up a bit high than having a peaky basal that doesnt match my body and makes me low overnight. thanks!
