Beware the care

The new government health care plan speaks for itself. If you can't afford the medicine you need to remain living, they will pay half the cost of your funeral as long as you stay IN NETWORK. If you want to be burried out of network you're on your own. Hopenopus

Sounds like something Fox News came up with.

Unless there's something specifically approved in N. Carolina (only Medicare and Medicaid are national plans; a small number of employer-sponsored plans are national), there is no other "new national government plan." Since insurance is reguated state-by-state, including what plans must cover, this sounds like a state law-mandated change.

This is to funny and to true. All but the funeral part. We know they would not pay for that and even if they did it would have to be a mass grave. Dig a trench and throw in 50 to 100 people. Save money. Then big oil would get mad because you would be cheating them out of their share by have a mass grave.

This joke reminds me of the "real" insurance plans that will pay for viagra...but not for birth control pills. I think monkeys are at play with some of these policies.

OK, got me--at least half. No "health" plan pays for a funeral (bizarrely, you can buy and sell "death" benefits--and that's no joke); I figured Hope was taking what's too often real to the morbid extreme ...

It's also hard to be too extreme when it comes to the offensiveness of the sickness-insurance industry.
