Problem Lowering Dinner Readings

hy guys
I have new query my reading after one hr meal reaches 180 and then it comes bak to 165 in 30 mins then goes back to 180 in next 30 mins , so it takes about 3-3:30 hrs for me to bring it arnd 130-135 mark bfr sleep i want it to get lower < 140 within 2 hrs as recommended.I would also like to mention that i have started doing some walk after dinner for about 20 mins to lower it.Any other suggestions?I take 6 units of mixture 30/70 humalog at night

Mixtard 30/70 and other pre-mixed insulins are rarely a good idea.

You would find it much easier to control your BG if you switch to MDI

k but i am taking two injections a day and bcoz i am gonna start work soon i dont have time to for injection in afternoon so rather than 4 injections a day i prefer to take mixture 30/70 in evening and night

If you don't want to take any extra injections, you could still do one shot at the normal time but draw up both insulins separately. A vial of short acting and a vial of NPH (or another long acting) could work well. Then you could take extra short acting to cover the dinner. I agree that pre-mixed insulins give very little control.

Another thing that has really helped my after meal BGs is pre-loading...waiting 15-20 minutes after my shot to eat the first bite of food. Limiting carb intake at dinner if it is a particularly difficult meal could be helpful as well.

Depends on what you're eating. Fat will slow the absorption and slow the rate at which you can lower you sugar, at least thats what I've learned through my experiences.
