Makes sense. Wish I'd known that a couple of years ago. :/

so...if I'm diabetic, and there is no known diabetes in my husband's (hypothetically) genes, then our kids will have a what percentage of getting it? It seems in my family to skip generations. But then does that mean my grandkids will get it? I don't wish this upon anyone and would feel horrible to have passed it on. I know there are lots of ppl that have diabetes and have kids and such and I really want kids....but I just don't want to further this in my family.
Maybe this is just stupid and it doesn't happen this way..but I think about it sometimes. Or maybe they will cure it by the time I want to have children. I hope so, hope, hope, hope, hope so. =] =/

The article says if you have both the genes it raises your chance of getting it by 50%.

There's always adoption....

Someone has to be the first. You and me, familial pioneers! If I ever have kids, that is.
