I still get the numbness too. It takes awhile for it to go away.

Me too. Did not know what it was until after I was Dx. I would wake up with my lips tingling. Now when I feel my lips beginning to tingle I know I am going hypo.

yeah, i get them too, but only when i'm really low... like under 3.5 (63)... at first, i thought it was something else, like an allergic reaction to something, but the numbness went away after i had some sugar & carbs, so it couldn't have been an allergy... it's just darn annoying though...
The numbing effect of lows went away when I started having hypoglycemia unawarenss but before that it happened during most of my lows.

I get the numbness and tingling in my lips and tongue also when I'm really low. I don't even get the shakes anymore, so I only know that I'm low when I get the numbness/tingling or I get a sudden headache! However, one time I did get the numbness/tingling and my lips turned blue and so did my fingers and toes-turns out I was having an allergic reaction to a muscle relaxer(Flexeril), but I didn't think that it was an allergic reaction because I get the numbness/tingling when I hypo. Now I know to check every 2 hours even if I don't eat since I don't get the shakes anymore.
