What is the "24 hour" test?

I'm seeing a kidney specialist next week, due to my DR seeing elevated levels of something (I forget now what it was).

Hi, here is a great website that explains it far better than I can. Plus, it's been helpful to me for looking up other test results (I always ask for a copy of the labs.) Best of luck on the kidney specialist.

I was put on medication called Vasotec about 8 years ago to help my kidneys. I am not too sure what it does but it was specifically in response to my kidneys spilling protein.

Vasotec Information from Drugs.com

I am still drinking plenty of water, cranberry juice, limiting my protein and watching my bgs. I'm hoping this pays off when I see my doc in about a month. I'll keep everyone posted as to my test results. I'd like to keep this topic open for discussion,so anytime anyone wants to continue or add to with there updates would be great. Anything would be welcome. I am very interested in hearing your kidney storys.
