Hey all,

Just a question for anyone who knows the answer here.

I recently in the last few days developed a cold or possibly flu and my blood sugar is hitting the 20's if I don't check my blood like every hour.

I wanted to know if it sounds normal to change a basel rate from 1.3 to 2 (or maybe more) per hour and to change my insulin to carb ratio to 0.4/0.5 from 0.6/0.7?

I have no idea what my blood is doing but to keep it down I am giving myself like an extra unit or 2 an hour and it feels like am going a bit overboard with insulin.

Feels like my insulin resistance is like 80% or something crazy!

Also, when I am better will my basel rate and insulin to carb ratios most likely go back to being the same or will I have to fast again?

Could do with some help and a little advice if possible please.
