Natasha, if your b/s is too high, can't you just take a correction dose of your short acting? It will bring your sugar down much faster than increasing Lantus.

I also recommend only making a 2-unit change at a time. If you do go w/ adding 6 units, please test often.

Hi HeatherP,
I did increase it by 2 or 4 units but that didn't help. Anyway i didn't want to increase by a lot initially as it would be rising to 19 then drop to 9 then rise to 19 back again, it would be worse than having it high all the time. But then i started with it today as it will be staying lower hopefully when i take 16 units tonight. I will test often though.
Gah i may be doing it wrong but doc advised to do that, and anyway i want it lower, and i will be checking often. Fingers crossed...
