Diabetes and academic performance

I'm in University and I feel that my diabetes has an affect on my academic performance. Does anyone feel the same way as I do?

I had this discussion with another friend that is diabetic and agreed as well. I asked my Endrocrinologist to write a letter that was needed for school purposes so he writes this "the diabetes itself should have no impact on her academic performance particularly as she strives hard to keep it under satisfactory control".
When I recieved this letter I was so upset! He has this thing that he wants to show that diabetes is not a disability. I wish he can feel it even for a few hours. I find it so hard pulling all nighters and staying up late more than a week. Regardless i do it anyways but I feel like ****. After doing that I need at least a week to get mysugars under control to feel alittle better.
I feel out of it and have little focus level.

Does anyone have similiar experiences?
