| | | heart disease I read today that young women with type 1 diabetes are 30 times more likely than other women their age to die of heart disease.
They had a study on 24,000 patients with Diabetes the youngest woman to suffer a heart attack was in her mid-20s.
They found that men younger than 45 with type 1 diabetes had a higher chance of dying from heart disease, while the risk was 30-times greater for young women.

| | | To add to the above and maybe releave some stress from that.
a new study finds a simple screening test can detect evidence of cardiovascular disease long before any symptoms are apparent.
What it is, they scan for calcium deposits in the arteries. People with diabetes had 70% more chance of having the calcium deposits. They also found out that younger people with Diabetes had the same amount calcium deposits in the arteries as older people with out Diabetes.
For the study they used xrays.

Robin Williams said it best. I forget which movie it was in, but somebody told him they were trying to quit. He said that either you are a smoker, or you are not. Pick one and be that.
Not an exact quote, because it has been a long time since I saw it, but the idea is the same. |

| | | Don't think so.. My mum and my old boss and I've also seen such more people...
They smoke somtimes, but sometimes-- and it comes like waves and they smoke like real smokers but they're really not a smoker because they don't look after a while. I wonder whats wrong with me or them
How the heck can they do this! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
